Make a square brush and copy it to form the wall. All brushes should be detail. To make them detail, select them then: right click 2d > make detail. Ctrl + D to toggle show detail. So this wall should disappear when you press Ctrl + D (press again to toggle it back!). Detail brushes wont block vis. That means that your map WILL LEAK THROUGH this wall. Put a structural (opposite to detail) wall behind it.

Side stretch some in and out to start giving the wall some character.

Add some alpha fade texturing... Looks quite nice.
